As we earlier informed you that Palak of “Comedy Nights With Kapil” was accused of disrespecting religious feelings and had to face legal charges, an FIR was lodged against him by Dera Sacha Sauda in view of the fact that he imitated Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on the show. And now he is taken into custody for the same and sent for a judicial custody of 14 days in Haryana’s Kaithal. However, prior to detaining, he was produced before Kaithal Chief Judicial Magistrate Nandita Kaushik.
Haryana Police took him into custody from Mumbai and booked under IPC section 295 A for ‘outraging religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious belief’ on 31stDecember. According to police, some Uday Singh, Dera Sacha follower, filed a complaint and hence a case had been lodged.
